To take the roots from which
All things spring; to see deficiency
In accumulation; to dwell in the solitude
Of one's individuality with the spiritual
And intelligent--such a course belongs
Only to those who appreciate it
As their determining self-nature.
When they hear of such a pathway,
They are delighted with it;
They maintain their style of life
On the assumption of non-being
And make the ruling idea in it that
Of the non-perishable elixir of being.
They make weakness and humility
Their mark of distinction and
Consider that by empty vacuity
No injury can be committed,
While all things are preserved
In their inherent substantiality.
Thus, everything remains just so.
