Poem Artwork

The magic daisy of thirteen petals
Is your devoted consultant ever
And foreteller who's always upon
Your doubtful affairs of the heart:

He loves me, he loves me not;
He loves me, he loves me not;
He loves me, he loves me not;
He loves me, he loves me not;
He loves me, he loves me not;
He loves me, he loves me not;
He loves me! That's it. Full stop.

Oh, ladies! They still don't want
To take into consideration the fact
That the masculine odd numbers,
When it concerns the love affairs,
Are always on their graceful party.

The number 13 is in itself magical in many religions. we all want to hear what we desire to hear.

Well, OK. I never tried "He" loves me, and don't intend to try.
But I got your point. One of youth's fun little games that will last and last.

I learn something every day. Thank you. Now I know why that little petal pulling, like a two-headed coin, always gives an acceptable answer.

The science of numerology is very particular about these things. It doesn't worry about the fact that 13 is considered an unlucky number in some quarters.
