Just Who is this Guy?
Who takes Them in by the Litter?
I have ‘oft Wondered Why -
He is Also Such a Kidder?


He Humbly Adopted the Name of Pee-Wee,
A Diminutive Salutation,
And fills us All with Glee -
Along with Anticipation!


A Champion of Causes of Various Sorts,
The Earth - The Moon - The Stars -
And Little Frogs with Warts!
And Always At Odds with Wars!


Sometimes he Says he’s a Wolf-Man,
But More like a Teddy Bear,
He’s the Ultimate Human -
Full of Wit and Love and Care!


Somewhere in the Burbs of Chicago,
Is where he Hangs his Hat,
And Romping in the Woods he’ll Go -
Or - a Cave to find a Bat!


Yes, he’s a Spelunker -
Who Hails as MR. ED,
And a Feral Feline Finder,
Who Lets Them Share his Board and Bed!


Rebecca is his Mean Tall Woman,
With the Patience of a Saint,
And She’s his Biggest Fan -
Tho’ he’s Polish - so Irish he Ain’t!


So many Dogs n’ Cats n’ other Critters,
Of different Sorts and Manners -
He Can’t get Any Sitters -
To Work at Thornwood Manor!


A Defender of Veterans’ Rights,
And this Great Green Earth,
He Takes up All the Fights, and Writes,
Been Doin’ It Since Birth!


Authors Den is Where he Posts,
His Writings All Sublime -
Yes - he’s the Guy - of Whom I Boast!
How Does he Find the Time?


Oh - there’s a Lot More,
Of him that Could be Said,
But, we’ll Keep that in Store -
Else he Gets a Really - Big, Big Head!
