In Memoriam

Coast Guardsmen, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Soldiers,

Doctors, Nurses, Corpsmen, and Medics,

Many still here carrying dreadful memories,

Many others, long gone, but never forgotten,

All gave of their own personal Freedom,

That our Liberty would not perish.

They served when, how, and where they were needed,

Many gave their life’s blood for us and our posterity,

Many still carry their scars like badges,

A constant reminder of Freedom’s high costs.

They ultimately guarded our shores,

No matter where they might be,

Carrying the Torch of Justice, o’er land, air, and sea..

So let us honor these brave women and men.

And let us never forget their sacrifices:

For God, for Country, for Family, even

For strangers they will never meet,

Theirs is the Kingdom of Righteousness,

Of Truth, of Bravery... above and beyond
