It Must Be Love

Perhaps, we were a play too close to call…

But memories sustain me through it all-

Whatever comes of this brief turn at life

You’re in my heart, though someone else’s wife.

Through twists and turns, I even had my own.

Yet all things right- I find myself alone.

But not without the memories of you

That somehow still can gently see me through.

But what perhaps surprises me the most-

I saw you both, with him, the perfect host-

A prince to bring you happiness. And me?

I just thank God you’re happy as can be.

There is no weight I carry, no remorse-

I share your happiness, through tears of course.

And thank my lucky stars shining above-

For what I feel for you. It must be love.

This is not an uncommon theme in this world/life, John. I love your attitude and your perspective. Love and peace to you, friend,

A gentlemanly tribute to a love left behind so often because of life's circumstances, John, whether it be fate or difference of opinion...love endures the most highest emotion of mankind...you've a big heart...be well...

Warmly,
Sage

I like this one a lot. I'm not sure if I could feel this way myself though - not without a whole lot of remorse.
