Neglect equals rust.
Erosion What does not fit Are your profound professions of love. You are making the sound I want to hear- But I want the words to come from you… Not a reaction. And you really wonder why I can’t hear them… The words, just the sounds. But there are words I hear you don’t. Every word out of your mouth- You criticize and criticize And criticize my world As if I was just some innocent bystander. You have no idea what I’m doing here… Being me…. Then those professions… What are you talking about? Who do you love this way? A fountain doesn’t need my tears. I’ve been trying to write on water- Like we used to walk. What happens? My guess- like Peter, you took your eyes off me. “Eyes locked,” you used to say, And I thought you were talking to me… And meant it. I will have to look away now… Because there is nothing to see here. John H. Bidwell

This reaches deep John
& I am certain it does to all people
whom have know abuse of the heart “Erosion”
saying horrible things is never necessary
“You criticize and criticize
And criticize my world
As if I was just some innocent bystander.

Being me….”
