Once again I use symbolism in this poem. It will probably only be meaningful to those who have been in this place.

In an ocean of dark confusion,

a solitary light reflects on the skyline

beyond the earth's periphery

And the sun spills over the water,

painting its surface with amber hues.

From the ocean's great womb

Waves rise and swell

then reach out tentatively

to caress the shore

Leaving a frothy filigree

of saltwater patterns

like the tears upon my cheek

And as I watch this scene play out

over and over on repeat

I know with such a certainty

That one day we will meet.

This sparkling diamond of a poem starts off dark and ends up in the light of uplifting hope. Starkly symbolic and compelling; it is another of your splendid creations dear Chanti. Love is a small word but it carries a great deal of meaning. I give you mine. Regis

I am again, and again, and again...awed at your poetic
perspective and your infinitely wise perception, Chanti!
This is alive with emotion...and the graphic creates a
matching response.
Kudos, my friend!

Honestly, Chanti... I think we've all been there at one time or another, but it is certainly the poet who can understand this piece. The metaphors in the first two and last two lines are perfect. Just wonderful.

Much love,
Tami

Chanti you see the light. And then comes the release of the laughter. So many never are able to find it like me. And we wander in darkness forever. Beautifully express. God bless you. Take care and feel protected by the love you share. Bill Murray
