Christmas Thoughts


The snow came falling down,
the holiday season was near,
decorations adored the town,
celebrating with yuletide cheer.

It is the real time for giving,
warm hearts open up with love,
a special time for really living,
while thanking the Lord above.

Christmas is our savior’s birth,
a precious joy beyond all compare,
the reason for us to be on this earth,
giving thanks for everything we share.

Expectations come within the night,
toys and gifts, a child’s surprise,
hope for peace in the coming light,
as boys and girls in the morning rise.

Thoughts of peace fill the heart,
opening presents can be such fun,
as we pray that love will never part,
on Jesus’s birthday we all are one.
