Christmas Is Hope

A Christmas tree is a symbol of love,
standing straight, erect, and forever tall,
a tribute to God and the heavens above,
found in homes, businesses, and halls.

Christmas is part of the culture we live,
a time to reflect, in who we really are,
a season for peace, to share, and give,
to those who are close and even a far.

A joyous time in which to end the year,
wondering what tomorrow will bring,
to celebrate life, with a thankful cheer,
praising the Lord, with the bells we ring.

It’s the time of birth, to start a new,
a glorious offering of unconditional love,
sent as a sign of peace, and hope to view,
a gift from the Lord, in the heavens above.

Christmas belongs in our hearts and soul,
to stop the cruel and selfish acts of mankind,
the cold heartless acts that take their toll,
so happiness and love, we can eventually find.
