Christmas Thanks


Branches weighted down with snow,
ground of white it’s essence so pure,
a scenic sight this Christmas show,
yet with the cold, winter we endure.

An angelic setting sent from above,
snow flakes fluttering to the ground,
a time to gather with those we love,
the sun glistening, the snow abounds.

Winter brings such beautiful sights,
snow flurries turn to another storm,
causing the airlines to delay flights,
by the fire just trying to keep warm.

Snow brings the good and the bad,
reflecting on the things we’ve done,
deciding whether to be happy or sad,
one’s perspective determines the fun.

In giving thanks up above we pray,
for the gifts that have come our way,
especially for the infant Jesus we say,
Happy Birthday on this special day.
