Night of the Haunting Moon
On a cold, dark, chilly moon lit night,
a misting haunting fog consumes the air,
and Spirits linger in the shadow of light,
consumed in begotten memories shared.
Captivated moments of peace and love,
fades to memories of those who’ve die,
but never reached the heavens up above,
doomed to wander in wonderment of why.
Grasping, gasping, in sight of the full moon,
lonely ghostly groans turn to fearful moans,
upon the hallow of night it become their tune,
the still waters cast forth their desperate tones.
The clanging of chains ring of solemn despair,
haunting the living consuming their very soul,
with a memorizing draw beyond all compare,
in the darken night the mystery takes it’s toll.
Halloween’s ghostly goblins come once a year,
in their mocking we try to bring out some fun,
but haunted souls feel the heart’s pounding fear,
before the spooky night of the full moon is done.
