I remember the day when everything changed,
Not the day itself which was like any other day.
The sun rose up from the horizon into open sky;
Nothing falls down from the sun explaining why.
The day began as a draining away, milk spilled;
A hollow emptiness just lying in wait to be filled.
To learn of a truth I didn’t even know was true ,
Truth I was coming to know, never before knew.
In life, we witness a thousand suns and feel bold,
A thousand waning moons does make us feel old.
Will you love me when old and as crazy as a loon?
Will you cherish me, as sweet as a raison or prune?
I didn’t know then, but time passes and I know now;
Our love endured, passed the test of time somehow.
Our first moment goes far back to the day ordained,
First love became first truth that has never waned.
THE WORD OF GOD THOUGHT IT SO IMPORTANT TO REMIND US OF THE 'PERILS' OF LEAVING OUR 'FIRST' LOVE. FOR ALL THINGS BEGINS WITH LOVE OF GOD, THEN OTHERS...INCLUDING OURSELVES. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS WONDERFUL MESSAGE. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
Yes!I was reminded of the Beatles' song, "When I'm Sixty-Four"! Yes, my parents were married for 52 years and only knew each other for two weeks. 'Love this!
Your "first love" which has lasted through the test of times and trials is becoming more and more rare. I never got to really "be" with my first love; she was five and I was seven, but I still love her. Thank you for sharing, John. Happy New Year! Love and peace,
What you wrote for your first love is so unique with so many divorces in this world. It's hard to believe that first love can endure anymore with our attitudes changing with age.
But I can say that is true with my last love, if not my first.
My first love was in 3rd grade, and personally I fall in love way to easy. It can happen several times a day. But then it fades and left with the lasting love my wife and I share together.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
Love ya!
