-- Nature Qualified -- John Herlihy The tranquility of water The stillness of air The blessing of rain The peace of snow The beauty of patience The intimacy of love The strength of courage The promise of hope The mystery of a mirage The miracle of a rainbow The mystique of the stars The magic of moonglow The wetness of dew The dryness of sand The sound of thunder The silence of lightning The whiteness of clouds The blueness of sky The lightness of day The darkness of night The form without The substance within The music of sound The rhythm of music The artistry of a seashell The fragility of the spider web The design of a flower The perfume of the rose The perfection of the pearl The light of the firefly The roundness of the world The design of the butterfly The gentleness of flower petals The roughness of the sea wave The brightness of the sun The coolness of the moon A crack in the shell Reveals a mystery to tell Within the seed lies power To add perfume to the flower With nature qualified The universe sanctified - - - - - - Copyright © John Herlihy Saturday 9 October 2021
