I have fallen in love with emptiness

because the vacuum a place waiting to be filled.

I have fallen in love with fulness

because its blessing substantiates what the mind willed.

I have fallen in love with poverty

Because it enhances the richness of spirit within me

I have fallen in love with provisions afforded me

Because their richness offers me a sustaining bounty

I have fallen in love with silence

because it echoes more strongly than forces of sound.

I have fallen in love with stillness

because it arouses within me feelings profound.

I have fallen in love with solitude

because it gives me the privacy of being myself alone.

I have fallen in love with austerity

because it sets me free of excess down to the bone.

I have fallen in love with mountain ranges

because of the tempting lure of their snow-clad peaks.

I have fallen in love with the sight of oceans

because their vistas personify depths the heart seeks.

I have fallen in love with butterflies

because their beauty fills my eyes with stained-glass light.

I have fallen in love with fireflies

because their tiny lanterns illuminate the darkness of night.

I have fallen in the love with distance between us

because the distance always reminds me of your presence.

I have fallen in love with no distance between us

because your nearness verifies our love without any absence.

I have fallen in love with love

because it always reminds me of a place called home.

I have fallen in love with truth

because it always enlightens me under heaven’s dome.
