To be touched by His grace,

God’s face there to yearn.

To see everywhere His face,

Wherever you may turn.

To be touched by His grace,

The soul even harm must endure.

To see everywhere His face,

The soul must endeavor to be pure.

To be touched by His grace,

We must believe in its reality.

To see everywhere His face,

We must embrace the mystery.

To be touched by His grace,

The heart be sensitive to touch.

To see everywhere His face,

Gives strength misery to crush.

To be touched by His grace,

We must see with the inner eye.

To see everywhere His face,

Faith in His promises to rely.

To be touched by His grace,

Feel the warmth of morning light.

To see everywhere His face,

Open your eyes to the eye of night.

To be touched by His grace,

Be ready to endure all sorrow.

To see everywhere His face,

There in the coming of tomorrow.

To be touched by His grace,

To temper failure with success.

To see everywhere His face,

Know all good efforts be blessed.
