You've penned a simple, yet all-encompassing series of reminders that are very easy to overlook or ignore as we try and keep up in this fast lane of "being." For me, the more than enough references speak volumes about why we've lost our way in the present century--in many respects. Much can be said for past generations of living, even before we were born, that though we've evolved into a global society of more comfort and potentially greater health, we are gradually losing our will to do and be more in tune with your cited areas of less time and energy being made available. This reminded me of that cliche, "my way or the highway," which is not courage but fear and a cowardly way to interact. Thanks for posting.

Curiously original piece of comparison couplets, John. These concepts are close to the core of us all, so relatable. Extremes are fascinating because they open up a third field that is called ‘the middle,’ which is truly the most difficult place to be, balanced.
