A Simple Death

At death’s door,
Worlds to explore.
A simple death,
At the final breath.
Here today,
As a spring day.
Gone tomorrow,
Riding life's arrow.
We never knew,
As birds flew.
Things never to know,
As surging rivers flow.
The coming hour,
It’s unique power.
We never know,
What destiny may sew.
Tomorrow arrives,
The story thrives.
Finally at an end,
Just round the bend.
Resolves life's mystery,
Behold life's beauty.
To die forsaken,
Then to awaken.
The body gone,
The soul as song.
Ask nothing more,
The Beloved to adore.
