Oysters in the Stars

The goddess got her wish
from oysters in the stars.
Her necklace amber pure
glistens with a pinch of morning dew
on her softening lips from a kiss,
sweet as grape planets
she plucked from a milky way vine.

Within the pandora magic
ice castles linger in the amber pearls
daydreams abound
with flying horses, mist colored hills
and romance for two to embrace
their names inscribed as myths to be.

The stars look like oyster pearls
glass oceans reflect their charm
flooded from falling dew, moon tides rush in
the goddess bathes, from the cold, cold sea
she shucks an oyster from the shore.

She eats the heart, filling her head with passion
she finds a golden pearl with a man inside.
the fantasy and hope of every woman ever made
she gives him life, as a babe from her womb
they embrace the night with all their dreams.
Morpheus loans his cover to them
as they take their passions to bed.

. 2002 Joel L Young
