Deer Crossing

Poem Artwork

There’s a sign that says, “Deer Crossing,”


Down the road, around the bend.


It was placed there so that cars and trucks


Would yield the road to them.


But it seems that more and more get hit,


Most each and every year.


So something more needs to be done,


To help protect our deer.


I have a plan I think will help


This  problem, to erase.


Let’s move the sign, so those darn deer


Cross at another place.

I hope it helps :-) Here in The Netherlands they created ecoducts - a viaduct for animals to cross from one side of the forest to the other. That might be an idea ;-)

You are funny,I really liked this one,it is sad motor cars kill so many innocent creatures,I hate cars....I love deer and I love dear poems,this one is very dear indeed.
