the grove of the three days
it is heavily pregnant with all the lightness
of grace, and tastes of hushed songs
upon the lips, the petals - this calm
quiver, rustling the colours of the grove.
time has come, and fruitfulness, ripened
in each breath, edges, cradled in warm
poise of hands, as green as leaved hopes
- towards consummation.
synonyms, antonyms, seep through, infused
and infusing the layers of air, of now and of
then, around flesh and boughs –
and now is swathed in dusky, purple folds
of naked pain, so that, in a gush, as vivid
as passion, as scarlet as blood, deliverance
– then – may claim its hour, as purely pink
as newborn skin, or soul of dawn.
the infinite, now – the fruit, imbibed, and yet
the seed within, from its end begins
again –
and then rises, with all the lightness of grace
and the taste of glorious songs, as purely
white as newborn blossoms, or soul of
light, from the ground, sated, of the grove
- on the third day.

This poem is a celebration for the soul.
I like to read it like this:
one line or stanza at a time,
then, closing my eyes to
envision myself there within the moment,
then opening my eyes to read the next
stanza or line and closing them, again,
to let all my senses absorb the beauty.
The Easter message could not be portrayed more wonderfully than this.
You are one remarkable poet!
Love,
Joseph
it's inspiring to say the least. You are so very gifted and I'm thankful
for the good fortune to read your works.
Peace and Blessings and Light ...

and the taste of glorious songs, as purely
white as newborn blossoms, or soul of
light, from the ground, sated, of the grove
- on the third day.
Extremely lovely, Alexandra, and a most joyous Easter to you and Joseph.

This. Is. POETRY. I got lost in the grove of beautiful lines and imagery: and that ending stanza: W o W! Your best, yet!
