Something that effects all of us

STRANGE AFFLICTION

There’s a Strange Affliction sweeping the world today,
It affects many people in various ways,
No respector of age, it hits young and old,
And travels the world so I’m told.

It invades every city, town or country place,
Probably will be found way out in space,
A noisy disruption, no matter the scene,
It has the effect to make people scream

Please stop the noise, it haunts me so.
I can’t help but hear it where ever I go
It’s symptoms are plain and easy to see,
People affected seem so queer to me.

Standing on side walks, hand clasped to an ear,
Talking to no one, ‘cause there’s nobody near,
Shouting loud phrases into the air,
With a look on their face that amounts to a stare,

I can’t help but wonder what is this thing,
And to these people, does pleasure it bring,
It is so prolific, always around.
We’ve all of us heard the , loud cell phones sound.
