There they stand in line, row after row
Those poker machines calling, with lights all aglow.
The reels they tumble, the lights they all flash
The funny tunes jingle with the promise of cash.
The players feed them with coin after coin,
Oft times with others waiting eager to join,
In the promise of loot, for a little outlay,
And keep up their hope, as for hours they play.
A bell rings loudly a happy voice calls
I've hit the jackpot, hear the coins fall.
While others keep watching their cash drift away,
You can hear them mutter, com'on give us a pay.
There's never a shortage of players to play,
The clubs always crowded with people all day
You'll see them there always, from morning til night,
Hoping hoping a jackpot will turn up in the lights.
So many players with the same thing in mind
To get rich quick , a jackpot to find.
But on one thing you can always depend,
The clubs are the winners, with your cash in the end.

Theres always hope for Mum!!!! Great poem as always.
The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
