LIFE'S--A--GAMBLE.

Lifes a gamble so they say and as we live from day to day.
We take our chances as we go along the bumpy road we travel on,our way,
But have you noticed as I have done, the prizes offered to be won
Have increased by a total sum of thousands, just for using this or that .


Daily with your breakfast mush, you can win a car so lush, with padded hood,
That looks so good, or a trip to the upper Nile, of course in luxurious style,
And if by chance you should munch on a hamburger for your lunch,
The prizes offered , gifts galore including a trip to Singapore,


If like me you rend to pay by credit card, frankly there's no other way,
Because like me you can't afford the cash, for in the bank there is no stash,
Of ready cash and just to make it much more fun ther's loads of money
To be won, plus points that let you wing away, on some romantic holiday.


Buy a tin of pussy food and return the labels to win a house, of splendour,
With even a mouse, for the cat to chase, but are the chances of winning so slender
, perhaps the odds so big and perish the thought, the comp is rigged.
So that you or I have no chance, of our fortunes being enhanced.


How I long for the good old days, when you went to the store and your money paid
With no gimmivky forms or labels to save or prizes galore for your mind to crave
Just plain value for money, brands one can trust, without added fuss or prizes for which we can lust.

Still life’s a gamble from day to day and we have to play it, each in our own way.
