Our Yardstick

We have a yardstick in our house to measure weeks and days,
And we know that others do it in many different ways
Ours is so reliable it never lets us down,
And we know for certain it will surely come around

These day s time goes faster or so it seems to be',
Even though our yardstick mea sures reliably,,.
Is it just us getteing older or so much busier now.
It seems like every second day, it's time again somehow,

I'm talking about our rubbish bin and the time to put it out,
It's as regular as the seasons it comes without a doubt,
As regular as clock work, on every Sunday night,
You;ll hear the cry all around the house, it's rubbish night tonight.!!,
