PILL TIME.

One of the consequences of reaping a ripe old age,
Is that one enters a new regime, one associated with dotage,
It rules life with a firmness worthy of the worst tyrant,
That ominees phrase, “ Have you taken your pills yet?”,

Kingdoms come, Kingdoms fall, comes that ever clarion call,
Dictators over thrown, in surrections riots , all,
Superceded, pale into insignificance, when that voice that sounds like doom.
Echoes loudly, throughout each room, that cry that sounds all to soon,

Pill Time!!!, Time for that ever increasing dose,
Of objects round, taken to fend of the vagaries of old age, that are ever close,
As age moves on, so the administration of these items, takes on a life a life of it’s own,
All one can do is utter a last despairing groan, “ Pill Time Again”
