Long ago and far away

The prince of darkness stood in my way.

But what to him…

Could I say?

He swerved he swayed he even swore

Do you not know what this is for?

I aim to make you my sweet fare

So, do not cross me lest you dare.

He raged on through my sleepless night,

Hoping to give me a terrible fright,

In order to release my soul,

But I didn't dare let it go.

Come to me and rewards you will gain

But I knew I would not be the same.

He offered jewels, diamonds and gold

But my soul could not be sold.

Don’t be a fool you’ll never win

For you were born in lustful sin.

But I will release you if you come with me

Now let us go and you will see.

I was not fooled and bid him ado

The rage within him swelled and grew.

For lust and sin would always dwell

And soon you’ll be in my very hell.

He vowed that he would soon return

For evil in some will always burn.

And I know he’ll not be far away

And I’m on guard most everyday.
