Coming Down The Aisle

It happens in the supermarket.

 Was coming down the aisle, man oh man;

someone just farted, the evacuation began.

A little while later, still no one in sight;

forget the pickles, will avoid this plight.

Was coming down the aisle, my oh my;

broken jar of ragu sauce, not a single passer-by.

A little while later, still no one around;

forget the sauce, I'll have to do a turnaround.

Was coming down the aisle, gosh what a mess;

broken soda bottles, I'm starting to feel duress.

A little while later, still all over the floor;

I may very well have to shop at a drugstore.

One last chance, let's see about the pickles;

still evacuated, don't even bother with the popsicles.

This place seems quite empty, what's up with that;

if I can find the manager, we'll have a little chat.

Here I go, there's the checkout line;

holding my breath, pressure on my spine.

Thought I left the pickle aisle, why that smell;

manager checks me out, I need to drink some muscatel.
