Come dally in the valley;
absolutely no reason for a tally.
There does exist, abundant life;
it's how we deal with that awful strife.
If we trust in our riches;
our poor souls, full of stitches.
If we stop laboring for the perishable;
we can then put on the imperishable.
Who's got a life centered on entertainment;
then add some amusement, what a bewilderment.
If we'd like to possess real discernment;
we shed vanity, and we escape dark predicament.
That which makes the human race sad;
can certainly make us very, very glad.
We discover the secrets, the mystery of all things;
now the daily news, never more enthralling.
We ask for neither riches nor poverty;
then, and only then we have perfect liberty.
We keep watch over the door of our lips;
with abundant life through life's dark valley, no hardships.
