Eccentric or Crazy ?

A couplet poem about being old-fashioned or different; sort of being content in the simple things.

Some say I'm eccentric, how do you do;

I just tell 'em to go to Kalamazoo.

Most folks find their niche sooner or later;

boredom only gets those who lose their composure.

Some say I'm eccentric, still enjoy the lightning's static;

simplicity of life itself becomes considerably poetic.

Oh that scent, the fresh print in a book;

looks like I found a really pleasurable nook.

Some say I'm eccentric, still enjoy the peace and quiet;

then there are those who label me as a real riot.

Come what may, I always stand my ground;

sending disappointment into exile, this quite profound.

Some say I'm crazy, still enjoy my cassette player;

can't replicate those tapes, part of my secret treasure.

I just love to watch those little wheels go around;

don't try to entertain me, I'm simply ironbound.

Some say I'm crazy, still enjoy my AM radio;

also have three backups, can do without the video.

Fascination of distant signals was always a thrill;

just proud to never get close to the boredom treadmill.

Some say I'm crazy, how do you do;

I just tell 'em to go to Kalamazoo.

Most folks find their niche sooner or later;

boredom only gets those who lose their composure.
