The reason for the rhyme is plain to see;
I made the time, enjoyment's lee.
There on the antique shelf I did discover;
a radio which needed painting, a real pushover.
I mused about it for quite sometime;
never imagined it would become a rhyme.
Originally it was beige, now a brilliant blue;
it brings much enjoyment, has a nice dial too.
This all-transistor, she's really looking fine;
some may raise an eyebrow, but she sure does shine.
She matches everything perfectly with the bedroom decor;
she'll be a conversation piece, that's for sure.
Some say no reason, others say no rhyme;
how could a freshly painted radio become prime time?
Only when we see beyond the yellow brick road;
broaden our horizon, sing a brand new ode.
The reason for the rhyme is plain to see;
such natural harmony, simplicity bringing glee.
Painting that radio might have been considered vanity;
as it turned out, it has brought much hilarity.
