my TV decided to day that it no longer wants to talk to me
but that is OK, as you sit there with a blank face
I will just think of all the times you sent me love or
of the warm embraces you had showing on your face
Now all I can see is a cold gray screen on a warm box
as you sputter and flash lights from the pictures
you now conceal from within, along with all the voices
silenced forever more
When the moment is right, and I have mourned enough
I will rise from my chair, shutting you down for the last time
not shed one tear, and head for the mall to replace you dear
Leland
Thank you,
Emilie
