Thank you Susan Sparks for the inspiration for this write...a wiser woman has never existed...

We are all Wise…

To some degree, we all are wise,

Some of us when we are getting high,

Some of us when we are telling lies,

Some of us may do so when we are in disguise,

Some of us find that the time is best when the sun does arise…

For me, I find I must admit, I am not that wise, as some have thought I commit,

For to be wise, one must be one with the self, to know his inner elf,

I am far from that point in my enlightenment of the self,

But I thank you, my friend Susan, for stating such regards myself, to wit…

Wise is a state of mind, of body and soul,

Wise cannot be found in a book, or a classroom,

To actually become wise, one must toil and learn control,

Not of others, but of oneself, to bring to the end of life,

A certain feeling of self-control, so much must we see of our life, yes we must look…

This is actually a tribute, in a way, Ed...and it is
a good one. Susan is an inspiration to me, as well.

Well, Ed, methinks I'm not really all that wise, because sometimes I get angry and lose my self-control. But anger is not all that bad if it is expressed constructively and not destructively. Even Jesus got angry. You are indeed very wise, Ed, because you remain calm under criticism, and even remain kind. This is a rare quality and I highly commend you for it.
