Little Girl Lost…

Samantha her name, six years old her age,

She is lost in the park I live in as of today,

Nothing you folks at AD can do, but pray,

I am sure her mother would appreciate that,

As long as you can, for the rest of this day…

People are out calling her name,

In the woods, in the fields, around the lake,

I think, as does seem to happen yearly here,

She found a friend with some cake,

And is enjoying it as we speak, maybe after steak…

She will be found like all the others,

Asleep at her friends house, or by someone’s mother,

“I didn’t know she was lost, I assumed she was just a friend,”

“Of one of my kids, we just naturally thought she knew where she was,”

I wouldn’t let my kid walk away without knowledge of where she went!

Her mother must be frantic, all sorts of scenarios preying upon her mind,

What with the world the way it is nowadays,

Letting a daughter or son just walk away,

Is no way to be a parent, but far be it from me,

To express this to the parents at this time,

More than their fair share for now they have on their minds…
