A memory from yesterday, but oh so long ago...

Poem Artwork

Baby Blues…

Went out fishing yesterday we did,

For blues and flounder amid,

Many others doing same, some kids,

Bottom fishing for flounder with the squid…

Three hundred little fish we did catch and keep,

A mix of weakie, blues and flounder we did reap,

Gave back their freedom the ones we did not keep,

The families of the others they probably did weep…

We gave back to the fish in the sea, all our leftovers, the chum,

We are to have a delightful meal, this evening and then some,

The baby blues most delicious, with yellow peppercorn,

The flounder cooked in the bbq style, hickory wood makes them tastier,

Corn on the cob, kielbasa too, what a wonderful meal we have,

Wish you were here to share in our bounty,

That would really be great, yes wouldn’t it, don’t you agree…?
