Encroachment

Philosophy, humor, poetry, etc, they are all the same and quite so much lame...

Encroachment…

Always hiding,

Never allowing,

The world to encroach,

A recluse I may be,

Seemingly devoid,

Of interaction,

Or desire,

I retire,

To the relative safety,

Of my home, my house, my cave,

Nothing do I need, not even attire…

Stay away,

From me,

Can’t you see,

My private space I need,

Alone am I to smoke my seed,

And do what I do best,

That is to read,

Although I do also write,

Of wars of personal and worldly blight,

Of getting to the point of becoming quite tight,

Trying not to start fires, I don’t want to ignite,

Or fires in the human spirit I don’t want to incite…

Life brings fear,

Fear brings light,

Feeling do I for this being me,

I find myself less than contrite,

Don’t want to be anything less than polite,

But I must ask you to get the hell out of my light…

Ed, the tone of this brings to mind the Howard Hughes legacy. This is really a great piece looking from the inside in.

Ed... I love this piece! So much like me you are, not sparing anyone any emotion. Peace through friendships and desert oceans, Ed. :)
