Bored to Tears

I will live past this night, just releasing some inner thoughts/tension, etc...

Bored to Tears…

Does boredom bring on tears?

Not so much have I noticed it in the past years,

But this evening after working all day,

My tear ducts seem to want to have their say,

Wish I do that I still did drink, feel the need today for many beers…

Maybe just a quick hit, just enough to give me a buzz, easier to sleep,

Easier to forget the fact that someone hasn’t called,

Hasn’t written an email, has not even been online, sometimes I feel cheap,

I have no idea where this certain person may be, a picture all I have to keep…

Is that the reason for my boredom tonight?

Is it boredom or depression or just a lack of insight?

All this past weekend we were home, three days & nights,

Not even a hint this person is still alive,

Never even a visit, nor a phone call, nor letter did arrive…

Sorry to whine, hate to moan, I bitch about others doing same,

But here I am doing it to, as I am just as human as others do claim,

I could be dead; no one would know, not even the mate of my soul,

Who would this mate then have to blame?

Only she herself would have to bear this shame…

Shall I assume that YOU have emailed? written? called? sometimes things don't happen unless we MAKE them happen. You'd better be careful, or I'll pour my optimism all over you and THEN where will you be? Better watch it, Eddie M. (smile) katy xox.

Whew. I was going to apologize for that, I really did mean to write, but then I figured out you were not talking to me. Truly hope you hear from your soul mate soon, my friend, and I truly hope your boredom passes. Reveling in Nature with Rufuz, and writing about it as you do so well, might help.

Ed, I really don't know what to say other than I think that this will soon pass...in the mean time, I think there a few great episodes of the outer limits on cable...those will ease the boredom for sure.
