Pensive though I be,

...always thinking am I...

Pensive though I be…

Through life I do think in the pensive,

I hope and pray that nothing is expensive,

I try not to be on the outside defensive,

Though I still do go through life quite in the apprehensive…

Understand though, those of you who read this piece,

I always do think and desire that of world peace,

I realize that is quite unrealistic,

Better to search for the Golden Fleece in Greece,

But still I am here to say; these thoughts can bring on quite a release…

Writing away my pensive thought,

Learned this on my own, I was never taught,

Life does sometimes make me quite distraught,

I fully realize though, I am the only one that can change this thought…

So allow me my release through the write I feel so strong,

What I do here is always right and never has been wrong,

At least not for me, most times I just try to get along,

If I get any happier I may just break out into a song…

                NOT…!

I must say most of us would prefer peace but I agree with what you have written Ed.

Oh come now, Ed. You not break into song? Pshaw! Why I bet you've belted out "Sound of Music" hundreds of times. Isn't that one of your "Favorite Things"?

Another amusing write, Ed. It is a wise person who does his best to get along. It makes for a much more pleasant journey along the road of life.
Take care,
Sherry

Blessed are the folks - who just try to get along. You're a good man, my friend; and if you hum a few bars of that song, me and my two mutts will join in.

PS I just so happen to have an ancient Greek map showing the exact location of that Golden Fleece; wanna be partners?!
