Life is a fleeting microsecond in time...

Poem Artwork

Tick-Tock…

In life we do lose,

So many things we did one time choose,

Sometimes we were given a great deal of clues,

Drank through my life all kinds of great booze…

Lost through time, special presents of the mind,

Seen things we should remember, but at the time we were blind,

So much we have tried to do with in our minds for mankind,

So many times from behind we were maligned…

Still we did push on and tried to transcend,

We have done what we could, hoping in the end to ascend,

I do not herein try to otherwise pretend,

To be anymore than I am, my abilities are to comprehend…

Each year we take stock,

Hoping that with what’s left of our brains we do not get blocked,

I do try to live life without constantly looking at the clock,

Our lives are whatever we do allow, we do our brains unlock…

How true! Each year we do take stock--maybe we shouldn't--and many do live by the clock. A pity, however, I must confess that I would be lost without my watch, whether I look at it or not (and I usually don't). The clock does keep ticking . . . intellectually sound write.

Ed, wisdom shines from your realizations...and yes, making it to a certain age is an accomplishment.

Transcendental Sojourn-Arrival to One Journal by Liz Cosline

Explains the realizations that have given the author the views of living life fully. The life each person dreams about. You must take a look at yourself before dreams can be reached. Deciding what is the core of belief.
