A poet I do not purport to be…

I just do enjoy immensely writing,

I also do enjoy the art of rhyming,

But to be more than honest,

My true passion does come from that of the right…

Though throughout the years,

I have been in places left,

I really do have no fear,

What writing I do does for all,

Make others and myself able to see me much more clear…

If I were to admit to the fact,

That I were a poet, I would do so with little tact,

Sometimes I may actually write,

But it seems as if I am therein quite cracked,

Or then again I have written a great deal,

That may be considered by some to be mostly abstract…

So if you do believe yourself to be a poet,

I can honestly say that you must to yourself know it,

I wish I could say the same of myself,

For me to know the self better, I need to self-commit…
