Self-erasing Humor… I try to remain inconspicuous, My humor my brand of self judgment, But as I cannot be hidden from view, I will instead drink to my health, yes I will imbue… Thanks to those that see me for what I am, Just a guy that likes to be that of a ham, But to those of you that think I do myself put down, Please remember that it is not because I am round… I admit to being myself, I admit to being rather large, If I did not to myself be true , How could I make humor for you? I find my ink well spent, Though I appreciate the worth of your two cents, I understand my self put downs make little sense, But for me to think you will get a giggle, I have to be able firstly to laugh at my size so immense, No way do I wish to feign herein any false pretense… © ed ~ 7/29/05

And I will drink to your health too, my friend.

I truly believe that making fun of ourselves is a very admirable and good thing. If one cannot make fun of him/her self, how can we possbily kid others? So, I do think 'self put downs' make sense, and the day that I can no longer laugh at myself, and the goofy things that I often do, will be a very sad day for me.
