Wednesday March 7th, nineteen & sixty two…

Sea Isle City did fare a bit better,

As it was the second worst hit that day,

The first on an island north called Harvey Cedars,

Leveled they were from ocean to bay,

Not a home left standing, not a foundation standing to the past attend…

Went home eventually we did,

Hopefully the rats they did rid,

A big yellow bulldozer did work,

To push away the hobby horses,

That did surround our home…

They did sure up the ocean side of our home,

And cemented that ground floor apartment,

My dads car as well taken away,

An old Buick with a great deal of chrome…

Many lost their homes,

Thankfully no lost lives,

Even with no advance notice,

Afterward Sea Isle did revive…

A three day nor’easter is all it was,

Full moon, and unusually high tides,

Produced this terrible ride,

Though Sea Isle has since regained its pride…

Ed,

A Nor'easter? Sounded more like a hurricane! Nor'easters, though, can be just as bad. Perhaps I'll write one about the Blizzard of '78...excellent write, and I'm glad you survived to tell the stormstory. Have you considered submitting this to the Weather Channel?

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

No More Crying Angels by MORGAN ST. JAMES

TRUE STORY. Bella survived an abusive powerbroker father with organized crime ties, a drug-addicted mother and a physically/sexually abusive brother. Shocking & inspirational. When she couldn't cry, she tattooed a crying angel to cry for her.
