Poem Artwork

Clothes of no style,

Trying to stay cool awhile,

Into a store to keep cool,

Kicked out, no money, what a fool…

Living on the streets,

Shoes barely on my feet,

Begging for water, no money,

No shade, much heat, the whole world sunny…

The firemen open a hydrant,

Sharing water with the plants,

Heat does quickly dry my pants,

In an alley found a friend,

Eaten away to a degree by ants…

His clothing and shoes all he had,

Hope in death he does not get of me mad,

But my clothing is ragged, my shoes got holes,

Feel you must for street living souls…

A very touching and heartbreaking poem, very real expressed. Strange how it never occures to one that summer on the streets is just as rough as winter. Thanks for this pointer.

Yes!! I pray constantly for every homeless soul I see. Life is backwards when we allow our congressmen to gouge themselves on fine meals and clothes at our expense and those that having nothing...don't mean a thing to most. So sad!

One Lucky Guy by Paul Lonardo

(Richard M. Feldman) Ever since I was a young boy, the only thing I wanted to be was a cowboy. I wanted to own and work on a real ranch, with cattle and horses. Especially horses. While I never became a cowboy, considering everything I have done

No More Crying Angels by MORGAN ST. JAMES

TRUE STORY. Bella survived an abusive powerbroker father with organized crime ties, a drug-addicted mother and a physically/sexually abusive brother. Shocking & inspirational. When she couldn't cry, she tattooed a crying angel to cry for her.
