Its sometimes hard to live alone, Even when one has his own home, Happy with neighbors & friends, Still alone can be the pits, Working only makes to meet ends� I share my loneliness with a pet, He takes care of me & allows me not too much to fret, Still with no human contact, there is sometimes regret, Memories of past acquaintances hard to forget� But they are not here today, Even with fun with significant others, Gone away into a past yesterday, Still of the present I do sometimes dismay� � ed ~ 2/24/07

How sad. Sometimes you can be in a home with many people, yet still be alone. Being alone and being lonely are worlds apart. Always look forward, never back. We cannot change what was, look to the future.

A beautifully sad poem Ed. We all suffer bouts of lonliness even when we live with someone.Just don't let the thoughts linger too long.

I hate to be alone, although sometimes I even "feel" alone amongst a whole crowd of people. I guess it's just the way how we feel about life and ourselves.

Sometimes, I do feel like I need time to get away from everything and everyone though.
