Alot of good memories of late...

Wish it were me, Shootin’ that tube in the sea, But not anymore, Bad back and legs are the score… I can still recall, When on tops of waves I did stall, Unusual that I did anytime fall, I gotta say when younger we had a ball… Not long afterwards on the beach, So many asking us to them teach, Couldn’t be bothered, out again we did head, No matter the size of the sets, never did we of it dread… © ed ~ 7/26/07

Sigh, the things we used to do either because we can't or we're too scared.
'Bad back, me, an ogre?' was how I valiantly answered my daughter when she saw me lying flat on the floor and asked if my back hurt again.

Thank God for memories. It's great to look back at times and truly enjoy what we once were able to do. Even though it's now for others to do, we can always be glad when it was our turn;-)..He Rufuz how ya doin?

White water kyaking, solo canoeing, mountain climbing, hang gliding, rappeling, all but surfing...and I wonder sometimes how I made it out alive.
(Not to mention driving 80mph on dirt roads when I was a kid)

Teach me! Teach me! I never surfed, but I took my kayak out there into 8-foot waves one time on Melbourne Beach (a little south of Cocoa Beach) immediately after a big storm, and even the surfers were astounded with my stupidity and seemingly suicidal tendencies. It took eight or ten times getting thrashed before I realized that when I got in the curl, I needed to lean back and paddle like hell. What a ride! Thanks for dredging up those wonderful memories!
