Poem Artwork

We may not be twins,

But always we’re friends,

Paw in paw we traverse life,

We both show proudly our grins…

We both are of each other in love,

He protects me, and I him,

If over a precipice he is shoved,

I am right there to pull him back from the brink,

Then we go and for the night we drink…

Apart you can’t tell us,

Even though different colors we are,

On his right rear leg he has a scar,

One that I gave him when pups we once rode in a car…

My twin once visit my uncle in Chicago I hadn't seen in years. Roger wrote that Uncle Bruce had an immaculate white Cadillac and matching black, white and gray German Shepherds.

Visited Uncle Bruce las fall at his Kentucky retirement retreat. He still has an immaculate white Caddy, but his colorful dogs are gone for the Doberman kind.

Did Mom give that to you? How come you have all the best stuff? Where the heck is my copy? And that scar has never really healed. But I forgive you.
