Sorry to bore you with this series of MY CARS, but the memories are good & help to keep me a bit more happy...thanks...

Dad bought it for me Tired of getting his car dented Never had an accident Only it seems when drove his car I did… A 66’ Ford Galaxie Was not a racer, had a six Standard steering & brakes But to be honest it took little to fix… Nice enough for an eighteen year old No radio, I installed an 8-track to me sold So standard it was, I still miss her Like I miss all my cars, well most Lots of rust they did develop Living all their lives on the Jersey coast… © ed J 7/20/08

From 1961 through 1963 I had five cars; all of them now, a long time dead. Brings back great memories though.

Well...old Route 66, with its trucker's dinners stops, the rundown motels, the sheffs that smiled when you lept going but frowned if you stopped, the midwest girls wearing their translucent cotton dresses, the Vacancy signs welcoming a tired traveler on a raining night...

I had a first car was and 1962 Ford Galaxie Convertible with black interior and champagne gold outter. It was my favorite of all my cars. Still love convertibles at age 63. Had turquoise Ford, blue fords and now have 1996 Light Blue Chevy Corsica, which is wearing out fast. Don't know how long it will last. Cars own us, we don't own them I always did say.

Had an opportunity to buy a midnight blue, white interior, 66 Ford convertible from the stepson of my cousin out in California, but he wanted too much for it and I wasn't keen on a rag top. Cool car though. My uncle ran the wheels off a 66 station wagon--in rust country, too.

Lovely reminiscence - my first car was a rusted out 1975 Vega. Drove like a dream, but the body looked like it had the mange LOL Well done.
