Poem Artwork

I’ve come to know quite many,

Chuck, Gene & even Kenny,

Scott, Bobbi, & Lenny,

Al, P-wee & Georg, as you can see,

I have gotten out of my life plenty…

All good friends of love and life,

My friends of this go-around have been rife,

Rene is a friend as well, heading to be a wife,

If she doesn’t like Ms. Bobbit use a knife…

Rufuz as well has shared life with me,

He does so quite well out of loyalty,

To myself as well I must be a friend,

Though sometimes I cannot imagine,

Keeping me with me to the very end…

I'm always amused by your lighter side but your serious side moves me to my core. The last stanza is among the best writing you've done.

Ed,

This is a very precious poem about friendship. (But you left out the good doctor!)

Stop! lil'brother or you will bring tears to my old eyes...
You talk so much about appreciating your friends, but when we are going to be invited to one of those road-kill BBQ's of yours?
I will bring the Coors.

Georg
