I may not be a Christmas zealot,

Sitting at home smoking my pot,

But at least I don’t the season run down,

Still I try like hell to solicit from you,

An upside down frown…

But there are some who rant,

About the holiday politic,

And maybe wonder why no comment,

Not that I won’t but to be nice I can’t…

But in all fairness,

I guess I need too at times to complain,

I think we all need to sometimes express awareness,

Though I think at Christmas its better to all to up fess,

To as well keep to ourselves any feelings we have of disdain…

Ed,

You ALWAYS make me smile, even when you're down: one thing for sure, your poetry is honest. Agree with Linda: the only green I want for Christmas is cash. But: that being said, knowing you don't have any ... wish I could help YOU. Merry Christmas!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Oh Ed your such a sweetie...whether we have wealth of any kind or not, we have something so much more. We have dear friends which mean so much to us. I feel I have found a huge family here at AD, I love them as I do people I have known and loved all my life. You are one, a very cherished one. Love and hugs and Merry Christmas my friend. Bonnie
