How many times have I walked barefoot, On the beach near mom oceans waters, Speaking aloud but only she can hear, Telling her of my pain & fear… Listening hard to receive her reply, Taking away my pain, quelling my fear, Listening as well to what brings to her a tear, I as well finding it hard not to cry… She reminds me of my childhood, Of the days gone by & bygone years, For us both, mom ocean & I were quite good, Memories of us both together, those are the times we strongly revere… © ed/\/\ 4/1/09

Ed nice reflective creative verse, except you need some bigger foot prints, maybe a size 15, bigfoot

Nice writing Ed.... You are so blessed to live near a beach to walk the sand and reflect on life... past and present! I love the beach and the water, and it can be such a healing to our soul and mind as well.. hugs, lindalaw

For some one that also goes on long walks on the empty beach, I understand what you try to convey, because only those that know raw solitude can write a poem like you wrote above.
