Time to smoke a bone...

NOT GAY, but SUPPORTIVE...

Poem Artwork

I just heard a song,

Memories from that life returned,

Way back when, when nothing seemed wrong,

For that old life I still occasionally have yearned…

Drugs & drinking, hangovers & migraines,

Burning out cells in our brains,

In automobiles, planes & trains,

We used & abused, now we deal with whatever remains…

I “could” go back, but would I want too,

I don’t want to lose what now I’ve got,

Besides still do I now & then smoke pot,

That brings me back to that previous life,

At least for a short time, glad I never snorted glue,

And for just this one moment to you I bid adieu…

I never could figure out that glue snorting thing. Nostrils stuck together are highly inefficient. Patrick
